We’re Jaid and Shay, sisters and the faces behind Lake and Sun Spray Tanning. We’re excited to bring a cleaner, more natural approach to spray tanning, using DHA made from sugar beets for the perfect sun-kissed glow.

Our love for beauty runs in the family—our mom is in the industry, and we grew up appreciating how a little extra care can help women feel their best. Being fair-skinned ourselves, we struggled to find a spray tan or self-tanner that looked natural. When we found BEETTAN, it checked every box: great color, high-quality ingredients, and no harsh additives—plus, the fact that it’s made from beets made it even better. We loved how it looked and felt, and after completing our spray tan certification, we knew we wanted to share it with others.

Shave and exfoliate the night or morning before your spray tan session, but not within two hours of your session.

We suggest prepping with our Beetit Buffing Sugar, an oil free, dry exfoliant, and is packed with Vitamin C. Vitamin C is specifically designed for skin renewal.

No lotion within the two hours of tanning.

Wear or don’t wear what you choose based on your comfort level.

All Beettan Spray Tan Partners are trained, certified professionals who will make you feel comfortable.

Our solution and equipment are state of the art so no touching required, no barrier cream needed, and you can get dressed immediately!

Should last 7-10 days.

Moisturization is crucial to the longevity and even fading of a spray tan. Hydration is key! Avoid products with oil, alcohol and parabens.

We suggest using our Beetbutt Blending Butter as a daily moisturizer and our Anti-Aging Self Tanning Daily Booster lotion to maintain the tan. Both products provide critical hydration to skin, which can help your tan last up to 14 days.

Apply the Anti-Aging Self Tanning Daily Booster lotion once you notice areas fading.

It takes 8-12 hours for the spray tan to fully develop so wait 8-12 hours to take a shower. Do not exceed 24 hours.

The longer you leave it on the darker it gets.

BEETTAN spray tans do not stink, stain your clothes, or sheets so you can function and go about your day after your spray tan session.

No stains because we have no artificial bronzers. Your white sheets are safe with BEETTAN!

If you get wet pat dry (DON’T rub or wipe) then take a makeup sponge and dab the area that got wet and around it. This will help fix splotching.

If the spot is still lighter once you have reached development and showered then call your Certified BEETTAN Professional for a free touch up. If you can’t make it back for a touch up, apply a light layer of our Anti-Aging Self Tanning Booster lotion to the area.
