Hi, I’m Cortney the owner and artist behind Lake Day Sunless Tan.
I help women—and even men—of all ages and body types feel confident in their own skin through a luxury, all-natural spray tan called Beettan. My goal is simple: to give you that effortless, just-left-the-lake glow without harming your skin, no streaks and NO orange color.
I spent 14 years working in customer service, and for a long time I was also a tanning bed junkie. A few years ago, I had a wake-up call. Skin cancer runs in my family, and my grandma and mother have had multiple spots removed. That reality made me step back and realize how damaging tanning beds and harsh sun exposure truly are. I knew I needed a change but I didn’t want to be pale—something that aligned with my love for people and their health.
I grew up in a small town on Big Platte Lake, where lake days aren’t just an activity—they are a way of life here in the summer. Big Platte is where my love for that natural, sun-kissed glow began. Summers were spent on the water, skin warm from the sun, feeling carefree and confident. Even now, you can’t go six miles in my hometown without finding a lake, river, stream, or beach. Water, nature, and that after-a-lake-day glow have always been part of who I am.
As I got older, I wanted to keep that Lake Day glow year-round—but without the damage. I wanted a way to feel tan and confident even in the winter months, without risking skin cancer or harming my body. That desire is what inspired Lake Day Sunless Tan—a safe, healthy way to recreate that lake-day radiance any time of year.
